Background
Michael has dementia and has lived at the the Green Acres assisted living facility for the past three years. His family was in the process of moving him to a different facility.
His daughter believes he might be trying to go to Tazewell, where he previously lived, or Charlotte, North Carolina where he was born.
Disappearance
On March 24, 2025, Michael Small walked out of the Green Acres assisted living facility in Abingdon, Virginia where he has lived for the past three years.
He left the facility on Bradley Street around 4:45 pm, and was last seen near Michael’s Pharmacy on Charwood Drive around 6:30 pm.
Michael was fixated on finding his sister in Charlotte, North Carolina, and would carry her address with him at all times.
Appearance
Michael has gray hair, brown eyes, stands 6’0 tall, and weighs 205 pounds. He had short hair and was clean shaven at the time of his disappearance.
Clothing & Accessories:
Michael was last seen wearing a tan sweater, red or blue shirt, pajama pants, and a baseball hat.
